David Grossman is a Christian and a member of American Mensa. He is retired from the United States Army, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was a US Army Ranger and Assistant Professor of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at West Point.
He now teaches psychology at Arkansas State University, directs the Killology Research Group in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and has written On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War and Society (Little, Brown and Co., 1996).
